Wendnesday, October 22nd

FOURTH DAY | A day in Warwick

We spent all the day in Warwick. It is the capital of the Warwickshire. The city is on the bancks of the Avon river. It also has its University.

We walked at first in Warwick and discoverd the place. It was really empty, no one was out. Some places were very nice. It seems to be very calm.

The Lord Leycester Hospital is not now, and has never been a medical establishment. The word hospital is used in its ancient sense meaning "a charitable institution for the housing and maintenance of the needy, infirm or aged". The Hospital is open to the public and visitors.

I love tea rooms and there are everywhere in England.

Then we discovered this candyshop. Everybody became crazy, and me too.

It is not the first candyshop that I saw. I thought there are much more in England than in France, and it's the same for the muffins&cookies stores. It doesn't surprise me that a lot of english people are so fat!

We all bought fudge for our parents. It doesn't look very attrictive like that but in reality it's delicious : it's with toffy but you can also have some in chocolate. The texture is funny and it's very sweet.

Then we discovered a beautiful church, a protestant one I think. We spent a long time in there. It was very pleasant because the sunshine entered the church by the stained glasses.

This church was special because it had a lot of little rooms to discover, even a crypt. The decoration was unusual.

I liked the details everywhere, there were a lot to see.

In the afternoon we visited the Warwick Castle.
